Indianapolis-based EHOB, Inc. recently released a new web site with an industry first search/product selection mechanism. The new search function, combining product usage, patient goals and caregiver objectives, is the first of its kind in the wound care industry. "We've created a system that will aid caregivers in finding the best possible product for their protocols and care plans for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers," said EHOB founder Dr. James Spahn.

The new product selection tool is the key component of the company's recently redesigned web site.

As part of the selection tool, the site visitor indicates a patient need and the overall treatment goal. The tools uses this information to find products that match, as well as supporting documentation in the form of articles, case studies, product literature, videos and other related data. "The power of the tool is its ability to compile a great deal of information from a variety of sources quickly and easily," Dr. Spahn explained. "It's really an important step forward for our company. We've always been keenly interested in the educational side of patient care, and this new web site is another important tool to address that need."

In addition to the product selection tool, visitors can buy online using a full-featured e-commerce mechanism, access the most recent company news, and quickly find a wide array of educational tools. Wound care professionals across the country can also register to attend one of the many online training seminars to earn continuing education units.

EHOB, Inc. was founded in 1985 with a special interest in soft tissue research, education and product development. Today, a leading company in pressure ulcer management, EHOB continues to be an innovator of affordable, clinically supported products effective in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

The site was developed by Indianapolis-based Rare Bird, Inc., a marketing communications firm specializing in Internet marketing, web and new media development, search engine optimization, and advanced customer communications.
