Indianapolis-based eWellness recently launched a new e-commerce platform to aggressively promote their services to a wider range of customers. "We've been very successful selling directly to health care facilities," said Paul Schuler, eWellness owner, "but our new site is really helping us target consumers directly."
The new site offers several integrated functions to better streamline customer communications, improve inventory control and product management, and improves order processing by directly channeling online orders through the fulfillment system.
The new integrated email system is particularly valuable: each customer placing an order triggers a personalized, customized follow-up campaign to transition them from a single order to a long term relationship. "The ability to improve customer service and provide integrated, automated email communication is a big plus," said Schuler.
The new site was created through a joint venture with Rare Bird, Inc. and Pavin' The Way, both Indianapolis-based firms. Rare Bird developed the marketing strategy and created the site design while Pavin' The Way provided the back-end development.
Rare Bird, Inc., is an internet media firm specializing in Internet marketing, web and new media development, search engine optimization, and advanced customer communications. Rare Bird was founded in 1998 and provides marketing services to clients across the country in a wide spectrum of industries. "This type of high-level integration from sale through delivery and follow-up truly represents the future of e-commerce. It's a great example of doing more with fewer resources." said Jim Cota, President of Rare Bird, Inc.
