Indianapolis, IN - March 25, 2008
Jim Cota, president of Indianapolis-based Rare Bird, Inc., is scheduled to address the 32nd Annual International Newsletter & Specialized-Information Conference in Washington, DC this summer. The conference, presented by the Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA), is titled Profiting in the New Publishing Environment and is designed to help publishers remain competitive in a rapidly changing business environment.
Technologies and business models are evolving rapidly, said Ed Coburn, Managing Director of Harvard Health Publications and SIPA Secretary and Conference Chair. And our customers businesses and the types of information they need and how they want to receive it continue to change, too. As information publishers, we have to rethink our tactics and strategies; we have to find a way to profit in this new environment.
Cotas session will focus on Using the Web to Drive Renewable Revenue, providing actionable examples of successful strategies and methods to enhance customer affinity, build initial and return sales, and implement site-wide changes to improve results.
Their invitation was a direct result of our extensive experience in the speciality publishing industry, said Cota, and were excited to be included in this event. I think its a testimony to both the work that were doing and the level of expertise in the Indianapolis community.
The conference will be held June 1-3 in Washington, DC.
