Indianapolis, IN - December 18, 2008
Local green startup Celery Street teamed with Indianapolis-based Rare Bird, Inc., an Internet marketing firm specializing in custom e-commerce development, to launch its new online store. Offering eco-friendly, organic, recycled, reused and refurbished green gifts and housewares, Celery Street sells an assortment of merchandise to earth conscious consumers. Items range from eclectic handbags made from recycled candy wrappers to kitchen utensils and cookware fabricated from bamboo and recycled glass.
The sites user-friendly, clean interface was a major part of the design strategy. Following intuitive navigation, visitors can easily browse the full range of products, complete with product images and descriptions organized by related categories. The site also offers several integrated functions to streamline consumer communications, improve inventory control, and refine order processing by directly channeling online orders through a fulfillment system.
Were extremely excited about the launch of our site, remarked Celery Street co-owner Evelyn Guinn. They [Rare Bird] did an excellent job of taking our initial vision to create a seamless, organic site that speaks directly to our customers. The clean design and use of elements and colors from nature clearly conveys our message that going green can be stylish and environmentally friendly at the same time.
In addition to developing the companys website, Rare Bird played an integral role in creating Celery Streets overall brand identity, including designing the companys logo and corporate printed materials. Rare Bird also used its expertise in search engine optimization to increase the website's initial presence and assisted in developing an email marketing campaign to communicate with customers on a periodic basis.
I was impressed with Celery Streets commitment to providing the best possible online experience for their customers, said Jim Cota, president of Rare Bird, Inc. The final design of the site and integration with their business practices really show how a successful collaboration helps to create an e-commerce solution that effectively addresses the needs of customers.
