We’re excited to announce that Rare Bird has won the Web Marketing Association’s “Best Marketing Website” WebAward for our own site, rarebirdinc.com.
The WebAward Competition, founded in 1997, recognizes websites for exceptional design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation, and content. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites across 86 industries, and only the best sites are recognized with a WebAward. “Best Marketing Website” is The Web Marketing Association’s top award in the marketing category.
Built in-house entirely around a full client load, our redesigned site launched in February 2026—replacing our previous site that had run for more than 11 years. If you read our last blog post about the new Rare Bird website, you’ll know this project was a long time coming—fueled by a dream, a lot of unbillable hours, and boxes upon boxes of pizza (thanks, Jim & Troy!). It was a true collaborative effort, and we are proud to be recognized for our work.
Every project we take on begins with a blank sheet of paper, and Rare Bird’s new site was no exception. In fact, our talented Creative Director Ashley modeled the site’s visuals after a literal blank notebook—complete with a dot grid, grungy illustrated doodles, touches of handwritten typography, and polaroid-style photos pasted with tape. On top of our updated look, new features include a homepage animation where words and images appear as the visitor scrolls, sitewide video integrations, a refreshed client portfolio, and a new blog.
Our ultimate goal for the site rebuild was to highlight the relationships we have with our clients, rather than focusing solely on the work we do for them. That’s why our process appears front and center on our homepage and our portfolio follows. After all, it’s those meaningful client connections that allow us to do quality work in the first place.
